OpenPCTV is an open source and freely distribute GNU/Linux operating system derived from the Ubuntu Linux distribution and designed from the groundup to act as a media center and video recording solution for your home entertainment needs.

In order to become a reliable PC TV distribution, OpenPCTV uses the powerful XBMC media center software (now known as Kodi), the VDR (Video Disk Recorder) application, as well as the Enigma2 satellite TV program.
Distributed as a 64-bit Live CD

OpenPCTV is currently distributed as a bootable and minimal Live CD ISO image, supporting only the 64-bit architecture. You can deploy the Live CD on a portable USB flash drive and connect it to your big screen TV, in order to transform it into a veritable media center solution.
