Sabayon Linux SpinBase is an open source distribution of Linux based on the Gentoo operating system, specifically designed for Linux experts and advanced users who want to set up a home server or create their very own operating system, based on Sabayon.

Sabayon is usually distributed into multiple editions, with the GNOME, KDE, Xfce and Openbox desktop environments. It provides users with a new release each month and it's compatible only with the 64-bit hardware platform.

The SpinBase edition is available for download as two Live CD ISO-hybrid images, which can be written to USB flash drives using either GNOME Disks or UNetbootin, as well as burned onto CD discs using any CD/DVD burning software.

From the boot menu, you can start the live environment with default options or without boot splash (verbose mode), install the operating system to a local disk drive, check the disk for defects (only if using a CD media), boot an existing OS installed on the first disk, as well as to use the console, debug and safe modes.

Bodhi Linux is an Ubuntu-based distribution for the desktop featuring the elegant and lightweight Enlightenment window manager. The project, which integrates and pre-configures the very latest builds of Enlightenment directly from the project's development repository, offers modularity, high level of customisation, and choice of themes. The default Bodhi system is light -- the only pre-installed applications are Midori, Terminology, EFM (Enlightenment File Manager), ePhoto and ePad -- but more software is available via AppCenter, a web-based software installation tool.

Unlike the G4U (Ghost for UNIX) or G4L (Ghost for Linux) projects, Clonezilla only uses blocks in hard disk drivers, which are saved and restored, increasing the efficiency of the entire cloning process. LVM2 is also supported, as well as unicast and multicast in the PXEBoot version, which is suitable for batch hard drive cloning tasks. Remote cloning of hard drives is also possible with the Clonezilla Live CD.

The project was previously distributed as two ISO images, one for the 64-bit architecture and another one for the 32-bit instruction set architecture. However, newer versions are available for download only as a Live CD compatible with the x86 hardware platform.

The ISO image can be easily written to a blank CD disc, or deployed onto a USB thumb drive, using the UNetbootin software. The boot menu provides users with the ability to try the distribution without installing anything on your computer, run a memory diagnostic test, boot an existing operating system, or install the OS directly via the command-line (not recommended).
