KDE Applications 14.12.3 Officially Released

 This is a maintenance update for this part of KDE
KDE Applications 14.12 has been released by its makers, and it’s a regular maintenance update. It comes with a ton of bug fixes and will be soon available in various repositories.

The new organization of the KDE project still requires users to adjust to the new way things are done. The three major components of the projects are now KDE Frameworks 5, KDE Plasma, and KDE Applications. The Plasma is actually the desktop and KDE Applications is pretty self-explanatory. The KDE Framework is actually the underpinning of the entire project, basically what you would call under the hood.

Up until the end of 2014, it was simple to name the current KDE version, but that's no longer possible. The Plasma, Applications, and frameworks components now have different version numbers and are released at various intervals. This makes it a little bit difficult for users to keep track of everything that’s made available.
