Birds Linux is an open source operating system, a distribution of Linux based on the popular Sabayon distro, which in turn is based on the Gentoo OS. It is built around the modern GNOME desktop environment and features several in-house built applications for students.
Distributed as a 64-bit Live DVD

You can download this Sabayon-based operating system from its official website or via Softpedia (see link above) as a single Live DVD ISO image that has been engineered to support only the 64-bit instruction set architecture.
Boot options

Default boot options include the ability to start the live environment with default boot options and drivers, perform a fresh installation as a workstation, media center or Steam Big Picture, boot in safe graphics or console modes (with or without boot splash), as well as to check the disc for defects (only if using a DVD media), change the language and keyboard map, or add extra kernel parameters.
