A special and mininal distribution of Linux based on 4MLinux and the GParted software

4MParted is an open source distribution of Linux that is freely distributed and based on the minimalist 4MLinux operating system, built around the GParted partition editor application and designed from the ground up to help users resize, merge, create, delete or check the partitions of any hard disk drive (HDD) or solid state drive (SSD).

Being based on the GParted application, the distribution supports all mainstream file systems that are supported by the upstream software, including EXT2, EXT3, EXT4, Linux SWAP, ReiserFS, Reiser4, XFS, LVM2 PV, F2FS, JFS, FAT16, FAT32, NTFS, NIFLS2, HFS and HFS+.
Distributed as a dual-arch Live CD, supported on 32-bit and 64-bit computers

The distribution is available for download as a single, dual-arch bootable and minimal Live CD ISO image that has only 30 MB in size. This means that it can boot on both 64-bit (x86_64) and 32-bit (x86) computers, and it’s highly portable, being deployable on Mini CDs, CDs or USB thumb drives.

First thing that the user sees when they boot the Live CD from the BIOS of their PC is the boot menu, which include two options. While the first options allows them to boot the live system with normal configuration, the second option allow them to start the operating system with the VESA framebruffer in safe graphics mode, in case they encounter video issues with the first option.
Built around GParted, without a true desktop environment
